Frequently asked questions

I just had an accident. What should I do first?

First, take care of the people. If anyone's hurt, call 911. If the cars are blocking traffic, move to a safe spot, and call the police so there's a report on file. Then photograph the damage and the scene, trade insurance and contact info with the other driver, and open a claim with your insurer. Once everyone's safe, call us at (747) 206-5268 and we'll arrange the tow if the car can't be driven and take the repair from there.

My car can't be driven. How do I get it to you?

Call us at (747) 206-5268 and we'll dispatch our towing partner to bring it to our shop. Towing runs 24/7. The shop itself is open Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sat 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, so if your car comes in overnight it waits in our lot and we start the paperwork the next business morning.

Can my insurance company make me use their body shop?

No. In California the choice of repair shop is yours. An insurer can recommend shops, but once you tell them where you want your car repaired, they can't require you to use a different one. We work with all major insurance companies, so choosing us doesn't complicate your claim.

Do you handle the insurance claim for me?

We handle the repair side of it: the estimate, photos, documentation, and the calls with the adjuster. If more damage is found once panels come off, we file the supplement. You still file the claim yourself and stay the decision-maker.

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the damage, parts availability, and how quickly your insurer approves the estimate, so we don't quote a number before seeing the car. Once we've assessed it, we'll give you a real timeline, and we'll call you if that timeline changes.

Do I have to pay anything besides my deductible?

On an insurance repair, the deductible is normally all you pay. The insurer covers the rest of the approved repair. If anything falls outside what insurance approves, we'll tell you the cost before the work happens.

Who pays for the tow?

On an insurance claim, towing after an accident is normally covered as part of the claim, and if the other driver was at fault, their insurance generally picks it up. Your adjuster can confirm what your policy covers. Either way, we tell you the tow cost before the truck moves.

My car was towed to a storage yard after the accident. Can you get it out?

Yes, and the sooner the better. Storage yards charge by the day, and if the car sits too long, those fees can land on you. Call us with the yard's name and your claim number, and we'll help get the car released and moved to our shop.

Will insurance cover a rental car while mine is in the shop?

Check your policy. If you carry rental reimbursement coverage, your insurer pays for a rental up to your policy's daily limit while the car is being repaired. If the other driver was at fault, their insurance generally covers the rental instead. Your adjuster can confirm which applies. On our end, we give you a realistic repair timeline and call you if it changes, so you can plan the rental days.

Can you set up a rental car for me while mine is being repaired?

Yes. We work with a rental partner and arrange the car for you, so you have something to drive while yours is in the shop. If you carry rental reimbursement, or the other driver was at fault, the rental is usually billed to that coverage, so most people pay nothing out of pocket. Mention it at drop-off and we'll handle it.

Will the paint actually match?

Yes. We match from your factory paint code, then adjust the mix against your car's actual panels, because sun fades every color and the code alone isn't enough. The new paint gets blended into the neighboring panels so there's no visible edge. This is the part of the trade we're pickiest about.

Does insurance cover a windshield or glass repair?

Usually, if you carry comprehensive coverage. Whether you owe a deductible depends on your policy, and some insurers waive it for a chip repair, since filling a chip early costs a fraction of a full replacement. We'll check your coverage and tell you what to expect before we start. If you're claiming it, we document the damage and deal with the insurer, same as any repair here.

Do you only work on high-end cars?

No. Daily drivers, work trucks, and family SUVs make up most of our work, and they get the same repair standard as anything else in the shop. The name is about how we treat cars, and there's no minimum to qualify.

Can you customize my car while it's in for repair?

Often, yes. Wheels, chrome delete, suspension, and similar work can share time with a repair since the car is already here. Mention it at drop-off and we'll tell you what genuinely overlaps and what would just add days.

When are you open, and do I need an appointment?

We're open Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sat 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome for estimates, but a quick call to (747) 206-5268 means we'll be ready for you when you arrive.
